Today we have a guest blogger, Windows PowerShell MVP, Teresa Wilson, aka the Scripting Wife. Take it away, Teresa…
Hello my Windows PowerShell friends. I am so excited! We just returned from the Windows PowerShell Summit, and next week, we get to go to TechEd NA. I will be at the Scripting Guys booth in the Resource Zone during the hours the Expo Hall is open.
I will probably leave only long enough to eat lunch because I hate to miss out on seeing everyone who comes by the booth. Granted, I may take the long way back from lunch because I have to go by certain booths and say “hi” to friends who are working their booths, but I won’t be gone long. I know you don’t attend TechEd just to see me, but I go to see you so I can help spread the word about Windows PowerShell.
As usual, I went into the schedule builder and made my -whatif schedule. These are the session I would attend if I were not staffing the booth. Hope you find something here that you will learn from and take away some knowledge to make your work day flow more smoothly.

Monday

1:15 PM-2:30 PM
Windows PowerShell Unplugged
Speaker: Jeffrey Snover
(DCIM-B318, Room: Grand Ballroom B)
or
DCIM-IL201 Implementing Desired State Configuration in Windows Server 2012 R2 (repeats on May 13 at 5:00pm)
3:00 PM-4:15 PM
The Real-World Guide to Upgrading Your IT Skills and Your Infrastructure, Part 1
Speakers: Joey Snow and Rick Claus
(DCIM-B325, Room: Grand Ballroom A)
4:45 PM-6:00 PM
PowerShell Desired State Configuration and DevOps in Microsoft Azure
Speaker: Hemant Mahawar
(DCIM-B324, Room: 360A)

Tuesday

10:15-11:30 AM
Design Considerations for BYOD
Speakers: Tom Shinder and Yuri Diogenes
(PCIT-B212, Room: 362A)
OR
Maximize the Benefits of Microsoft Cloud: Security, Automation, Self-Service, and Provisioning
Speaker: Glenn Sizemore
(DCIM-B296, Room: 381A)
3:15 PM-4:30 PM
A Practical Overview of Desired State Configuration
Speaker: Don Jones
(DCIM-B417, Room: General Assembly A)
5:00 PM-6:15 PM
Get Up and Running Fast with Microsoft OneDrive for Business: Planning Guidance and Best Practices
Speaker: Todd Klindt
(OFC-B336, Room: 351A)
or
DCIM-IL201-R Implementing Desired State Configuration in Windows Server 2012 R2 (repeated from May 12 at 1:15pm)

Wednesday

10:15 AM-11:30 AM
JitJea: A Windows PowerShell Toolkit to Secure a Post-Snowden World
Speaker: Jeffrey Snover
(DCIM-B362, Room: Hilton L2 Ballroom D (If the room is full, go to the following seminar.)
OR
Mark Russinovich and Mark Minasi on Cloud Computing
Speakers: Mark Russinovich and Mark Minasi
(DCIM-B386, Room: Grand Ballroom B)
1:30 PM-2:45 PM
Introducing Windows Azure Pack (repeated from Tuesday at 10:15 AM)
Speaker: Michael Leworthy
(DCIM-IL304-R, Room: Hall E ILL Room 4)
OR
Windows RT 8.1 in the Enterprise
Speaker: Michael Niehaus
(WIN-B341, Room: Grand Ballroom A)
3:15 PM-4:30 PM
Windows PowerShell Best Practices and Patterns: Time to Get Serious
Speaker: Don Jones
(DCIM-B418, Room: Grand Ballroom B)
5:00 PM-6:15 PM
Automating Microsoft System Center Deployments with the PowerShell Deployment Toolkit
Speaker: Rob Willis
(DCIM-B361, Room: Grand Ballroom A)

Thursday

8:30 AM-9:45 AM
Modern Applications for IT Pros
Speaker: Mark Minasi
(WIN-B356, Room: General Assembly C)
OR
Windows PowerShell 3.0 Administration with Microsoft SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Online
Speaker: Corey Roth
(OFC-B328, Room: 332A)
10:15 AM-11:30 AM
Building Disaster Recovery Plans for Microsoft Workloads and Applications with Hyper-V Recovery Manager and Desired State Configuration
Speakers: Kenneth Hansen, Abhishek Agrawal , and Ryan Sokolowski
(DCIM-B377, Room: General Assembly A)
1:00 PM-2:15 PM
Deploying Windows 8.1 to Bare Metal Clients (repeated from Wednesday at 1:30 PM)
Speaker: Wally Mead
(PCIT-IL300-R, Room: Hall E ILL Room 3)
OR
Extending Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Operations Manager
Speakers: Joseph Chan, Satya Vel, and Daniele Muscetta
(DCIM-B369, Room: Grand Ballroom A)
OR
Integrating Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 with Lync and SharePoint
Speaker: Bhargav Shukla
(OFC-B271, Room: General Assembly B)
2:45 PM-4:00 PM
Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Orchestrator: Runbook Design 101
Speaker: Jakob Gottlieb Svendsen
(DCIM-B375, Room: General Assembly A)
~Teresa
TechEd Week will continue tomorrow when the Scripting Wife will share the Scripting Guys booth schedule.
I invite you to follow me on Twitter and Facebook.
