Yesterday, the Scripting Wife and I flew to Houston for TechEd 2014. We went to the Convention Center, to ensure our shipments arrived on time, and to get the lay of the land, so to speak.
Today, we are back at the Convention Center putting the finishing touches on the Scripting Guys booth, and meeting with our booth helpers: Marc Adam Carter and Jaap Brasser. We are also sharing our space again this year with the folks from PowerShell.org, and therefore Don Jones and Jason Helmick are also hanging out at the booth.
We have some pretty nice giveaways created by the PowerShell.org people, including a Desired State Configuration resource book.
We are planning to demonstrate the new resources, Script Browser and Script Analyzer, at the Scripting Guys booth. To those who are unfamiliar with this new Windows PowerShell goodness, check out yesterday’s blog post: Introducing Script Browser and Script Analyzer.
If you are unable to attend TechEd 2014 in Houston (because it is sold out), you can find links in yesterday’s post to download the Script Browser and Script Analyzer from the Microsoft Download Center. You can also go to the PowerShell.org site to access free e-books. So even if you are not in Houston, you can take advantage of the extended experience. Also, I will be making tweets and posts here to keep you up-to-date on this year’s event.
Tonight we are all heading to the meet-and-greet at House of Blues, sponsored by The Krewe of TechEd. If you are in Houston attending TechEd and you did not register for this awesome event, it is too late. They sold out all of their tickets the first day, and the wait list is also closed. Luckily for me, the Scripting Wife is a member of the Krewe, so she is on their Facebook group and mailing list. Therefore, she got the invitations for the meet-and-greets.
I invite you to follow me on Twitter and Facebook. If you have any questions, send email to me at scripter@microsoft.com, or post your questions on the Official Scripting Guys Forum. See you tomorrow. Until then, peace.

Ed Wilson, Microsoft Scripting Guy

Summary: Microsoft Scripting Guy, Ed Wilson, talks about setting up for TechEd 2014.
