Scripting Guys Booth Setup at TechEd

Summary: Microsoft Scripting Guy, Ed Wilson, talks about booth setup at TechEd.

WooHoo! It is finally here. This morning, the Scripting Wife and I boarded the shuttle bus to the Houston Convention Center to finish the booth setup, and to sign-off on our booth. We breezed through registration, got our badges and alumni stickers, and headed to the Convention Center exhibition floor.

The Scripting Guys booth is in the Resource Zone. The best way to enter is through Hall D…assuming they let you come in that way. Other wise, you need to enter through Hall C, and immediately turn right at the Net App booth. You are looking for Aisle 1400.

Head towards the  Aisle 1400 banner.

One of the cool things about TechEd is getting to meet up with old friends. Here is a picture I snapped of Teresa and Kim.

Another cool thing, is that we finally got to meet up with Jaap Brasser. He was really helpful at the Scripting Guys booth last year in Madrid, so we invited him to help us again here in Houston. We have yet to meet up with Marc Adam Carter , but I imagine we will be seeing him shortly.

Cool, Aleksandar Nikolic just showed up. He is a Windows PowerShell MVP, and he will be hanging around the Scripting Guys booth from time-to-time. We have an official meet-and-greet with him set up for this Wednesday at 12:30, so you should definitely come and meet him. He is a Windows PowerShell remoting guru, and he will be glad to help out with your questions. He is also one of the editors for PowerShell magazine, and as such, he would love to hear from you about articles ideas. If that is not enough, he is also a community manager for PowerShell.com.

It will be an awesome week. As you can see from the previous pictures, we still have several hours of work ahead of us to get things together. For example, the Post-it note on the blue background says, "This is where a white board goes." But it will get there. Amazingly, everything will be in place before we leave tonight for the Krewe party at the House of Blues. If you are in town for TechEd, we hope to see you there.

TTFN (ta ta for now).
