In this blog, I\u2019m going to discuss this subject and show how important this is and how it changes the ways we think of the systems we build.<\/p>\n<p>Wikipedia defines safety as \u201cSafety is the state of being &#8216;safe&#8217; (from French sauf), the condition of being protected from harm or other non-desirable outcomes. Safety can also refer to the control of recognized hazards in order to achieve an acceptable level of risk.\u201d This definition directly implies a focus on when things go wrong. Things are good if there is an acceptably low number of adverse outcomes.
