Dir &#8211;A D     The Screencast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I decided to experiment with a screencast.&nbsp; This is my first and I have no idea what I\u2019m doing so please forgive me if it sucks.&nbsp; I\u2019d like to know whether you find this format useful or not and then specific feedback about how to make the screencast better (e.g. I recorded it at 1024&#215;768&nbsp; &#8211; is that good or too large?).<\/p>\n<p>In my previous blog \u2013 I mentioned that Proxy cmdlets are super important and powerful and that they can look complex but are actually pretty simple if you follow the steps.&nbsp; I decided that a video was worth a thousand words.&nbsp; In this screencast (~ 5.5 minutes long), I show you how to create a function DIR.PS1 which proxies Get-ChildItem and adds a parameter \u2013A which allows you to specify the \u201cD\u201d value which says you want just the directories.&nbsp; In all other ways it works the same.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>After I completed the screencast I realized that I didn\u2019t do a very good job highlighting what I did.&nbsp; I have done the following to highlight the power:<\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Consolas\" color=\"#0000ff\" size=\"2\">PS&gt;
