{"id":6327,"date":"2023-11-14T13:19:05","date_gmt":"2023-11-14T21:19:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/pix\/?p=6327"},"modified":"2023-11-14T14:40:22","modified_gmt":"2023-11-14T22:40:22","slug":"saving-and-loading-pix-settings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/pix\/saving-and-loading-pix-settings\/","title":{"rendered":"Saving and Loading PIX Settings"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>The <strong>Settings<\/strong> layout, accessible from the PIX Home tab, provides several controls for configuring various aspects of the PIX user interface and capturing experience. \u00a0These settings, along with <a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/pix\/timing-captures-new\/\">Timing Capture<\/a> Timeline configurations, Metrics view configurations, and <a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/pix\/defining-custom-regular-expressions-for-consolidated-events-in-the-timing-capture-metrics-view\/\">Metrics View Consolidated Event Patterns<\/a> can be exported from PIX and saved to a file. \u00a0These files can then to imported into other instances of PIX. \u00a0The ability to export and import settings makes it easier for multiple users to collaborate in a studio. \u00a0For example, a studio may wish to create a custom Timing Capture configuration for use by all developers.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Click the <strong>Save Settings<\/strong> button at the top to display the save settings panel.
