They did this so that they could claim over &pound;2.7 million in tax credits intended to boost the British film industry. Her Majesty&#8217;s Revenue and Customs began to suspect something was up when no apparent progress was being made on the project and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-2298937\/A-Landscape-Of-Lies-Fraudsters-conned-Loose-Women-host-Andrea-McLean-3million-tax-scam-jailed.html\"> the film company&#8217;s &#8220;office&#8221; was an empty room<\/a>. The scammers tried to make the project look legitimate by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt2015422\/\"> actually making a movie<\/a> for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/film\/shortcuts\/2013\/mar\/13\/landscape-of-lies-gangster-film-tax\"> &pound;84,000<\/a> and releasing it on DVD.
