(Apparently it is now     <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/news\/6144631.html\">     on hold<\/a>. Can you put something that     never existed &#8220;on hold&#8221;?)     (Oh wait,     <a href=\"http:\/\/www.joystiq.com\/2006\/08\/15\/gasp-phantom-console-fails-to-materialize\/\">     maybe it&#8217;s gone<\/a>. I can&#8217;t tell.) <\/li>\n<li>ZeoSync&#8217;s     <a href=\"http:\/\/backseatdriver.com\/clients\/ZeoSync\/docs\/home.htm\">     Relational Differentiation Encoding&trade;<\/a>,     promising 100:1 lossless compression. <\/li>\n<li>SpecOps&#8217;s     <a href=\"http:\/\/www.networkworld.com\/news\/2004\/0803linuxstart.html\">     David OS<\/a>,     which was only     <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20040207221434\/www.specopslabs.com\/david_development.htm\">     six months from completion<\/a>     with commercial availability by the end of 2004. <\/li>\n<li>The Consumer Broadcast Network, which     <a href=\"http:\/\/investmentsmagazine.com\/ManageArticle.asp?C=120&amp;A=1530\">     announced its intention to place a multi-billion dollar bid for AOL<\/a>.     &#8220;This is not a joke,&#8221; insists Francisco Schipperheijn.     According to     <a href=\"http:\/\/sec.edgar-online.com\/2005\/04\/15\/0001213900-05-000341\/Section11.asp\">     this SEC filing<\/a>,     &#8220;Consumer Broadcast Network is a collection of internet domains that     are not online.&#8221; <\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.ryjones.org\/\">Ry Jones<\/a>     nominates     <a href=\"http:\/\/www.macworld.com\/news\/2004\/10\/12\/cherryos\/\">     CherryOS<\/a> for inclusion on this list.     &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.com\/news\/mac\/0,2125,65368,00.html\">We&#8217;re     for real<\/a>,&#8221; they maintain.
