{"id":2183,"date":"2008-02-29T18:06:44","date_gmt":"2008-02-29T18:06:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.msdn.microsoft.com\/odatateam\/2008\/02\/29\/mix08-is-almost-here\/"},"modified":"2008-02-29T18:06:44","modified_gmt":"2008-02-29T18:06:44","slug":"mix08-is-almost-here","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/odata\/mix08-is-almost-here\/","title":{"rendered":"MIX08 is almost here&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Its been a year since Pablo first announced Project Astoria at MIX 07.&nbsp; Since then we&#8217;ve started from scratch and build a production version of the product which is now known as the ADO.NET Data Services Framework.&nbsp; At the MIX conference this time around we&#8217;ll have a bunch of sessions to talk about how the ADO.NET Data Services Framework&nbsp; has evolved into a platform to create your own services and <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.live.com\/blogs\/devlive\/archive\/2008\/02\/27\/213.aspx\">to talk to those from Windows Live<\/a>.&nbsp; A snippet from the Windows Live blog is below and we&#8217;ll have a lot more to show at the conference next week!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;At MIX we are enabling several new Live services with AtomPub endpoints which enable any HTTP-aware application to easily consume Atom feeds of photos and for unstructured application storage (see below for more details). Or you can use any Atom-aware public tools or libraries, such as <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/msdn2.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/bb412202.aspx\"><em>.NET WCF Syndication<\/em><\/a><em> to read or write these cloud service-based feeds.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In addition, these same protocols and the same services are now <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/astoria.mslivelabs.com\/\"><em>ADO.NET Data Services<\/em><\/a><em> (formerly known as \u201c Project Astoria\u201d) compatible.
