As\u00a0a continuation\u00a0of changes\u00a0<\/span>previously announced<\/span><\/a>\u00a0for global customers,\u00a0we will be making\u00a0changes to how Microsoft handles Microsoft Teams call data\u00a0in GCC High and DoD environments that we expose via the Microsoft Graph callRecords<\/strong>\u00a0APIs (beta and v1.0).\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For organizations that\u00a0participate\u00a0in a federated call or meeting but did not\u00a0initiate\u00a0it (non-owning organizations), they will now only be able to see usage and diagnostic data for users within their own organization. For consistency, this change has been applied to all federated calls and meetings \u2013 not only those that cross a regional boundary. The schema of the API\u00a0remains\u00a0unchanged so most application code will not be affected.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While we understand that this change might\u00a0impact\u00a0some applications that depend on our API, we believe this change is important to meet our commitments to\u00a0reduce\u00a0cross-region data flows while still enabling customers to take advantage of diagnostic data to troubleshoot poor quality calls and understand their organization\u2019s Microsoft Teams usage.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This change will go into effect in early October 2025.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
