W<\/span>e’re announcing an upcoming breaking change for admins and developers using Microsoft Graph to control item insights settings in a tenant.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

About the breaking change<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Using the Microsoft Graph API, a tenant admin can enable, disable, and get settings that manage item insights in organization (or specific AAD groups).\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, a tenant admin can use Microsoft Graph URL:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

https:\/\/graph.microsoft.com\/beta\/organization\/{organizationId}\/settings\/itemInsights<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>which requires the\u202f<\/span>Organization.Read.All<\/span><\/code> or <\/span>Organization.ReadWrite.All<\/span><\/code>\u202fscope.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Starting January 2024<\/span><\/b>, that will change to the new path: <\/span>https:\/\/graph.microsoft.com\/beta\/admin\/people\/itemInsights<\/span><\/a> and the scope requirement will also change to\u202f<\/span>PeopleSettings.Read.All<\/span><\/code>\u202fand\u202f<\/code><\/span>PeopleSettings.ReadWrite.All<\/span><\/code>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
