We have observed over time that a number of 3<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">rd<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> party apps are accessing Teams messages through EWS. This approach is both undocumented and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/exchange\/troubleshoot\/send-emails\/ews-not-support-access-teams-data\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">unsupported by Microsoft<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> and poses the risk of code failure, as Teams may change the location and use of message data at any time.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Microsoft will restrict access via EWS to Teams message data starting on January 31<\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">, 2023.<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0 Fully supported access to Teams message data is available through the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoftteams\/export-teams-content\">Microsoft Graph Teams Export API<\/a>.
