The community standup is a short video-based discussion with some of the leaders of the ASP.NET development teams covering the accomplishments of the team on the new ASP.NET Core framework over the previous week. Orchard Harvest<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Accomplishments<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Getting ready for Visual Studio 2017 RTM<\/strong> \u2014 The team has been working hard to finish the ASP.NET Core MSBuild experience in time for the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.msdn.microsoft.com\/visualstudio\/2017\/02\/09\/visual-studio-2017-launch-event-and-20th-anniversary\/\">VS 2017 March 7th<\/a>.\u00a0 Currently,\u00a0 the only out-of-the-box \u00a0project templates in VS 2017 with the new MSBuild format\u00a0include the .NET Core and .NET Standard templates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>.NET\u00a0 Core 2.0 work in progress<\/strong> \u2014 The team is continuing to work on <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/dotnet\/standard\/blob\/master\/docs\/versions\/netstandard2.0.md\">NET standard 2.0<\/a>,\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/dotnet\/core\/blob\/master\/roadmap.md\">.NET Core 2.0<\/a>, and ASP.NET Core 2.0. \u00a0Some of the things we are working on with \u00a0ASP.NET Core 2.0 \u00a0include: \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/aspnet\/\">Razor pages<\/a>, we are beginning the work on <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/aspnet\/SignalR\">SignalR<\/a>, and we will continue to invest \u00a0in Kestrel.<\/p>\n<p>Happy coding and see you next week !<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is the next in a series of blog posts that will cover the topics discussed in the ASP.NET Community Standup.
