Issue<\/h2>\n

Unfortunately after installing ASP.NET and Web Tools Preview Refresh for Visual Studio 2013 Preview, creating SPA VB template will fail.<\/p>\n

This post describes how to fix this issue.<\/p>\n

Option 1: Fix script<\/h2>\n

I authored these two scripts (one for x86 and x64) to fix the issue.<\/p>\n

  1. Please ensure your execution policy is correct. (Run command: Set-ExecutionPolicy<\/a> RemoteSigned)<\/li>\n
  2. Please run the script under Administration Privilege<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Option 2: Manually fix<\/h2>\n

    If for some reason you can’t run the scripts, you can fix the issue by altering template files.<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Find your WebTemplates folder. It is usually at C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0Common7IDEWebTemplates<\/li>\n
    • Go to WebTemplatesMVCVisualBasic<\/li>\n
    • If you’re using English version of VS, go to folder 1033. Otherwise you will see a number-named folder older than 1033, go to it.<\/li>\n
    • Move following files:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

      Spav5.0ContentVB*.css<\/td>\nSpav5.0Content<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

      • Then edit Spav5.0spa.vbhtml.vstemplate. Remove all occurrences of “VB”<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
