{"id":57318,"date":"2019-08-01T21:33:28","date_gmt":"2019-08-02T05:33:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/?p=57318"},"modified":"2019-08-02T13:04:00","modified_gmt":"2019-08-02T21:04:00","slug":"support-for-large-test-attachments-now-available-in-azure-pipelines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/support-for-large-test-attachments-now-available-in-azure-pipelines\/","title":{"rendered":"Support for large test attachments now available in Azure Pipelines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When running tests in a CI\/CD pipeline, collecting diagnostic data such as screenshots, logs, and attachments is very useful to help troubleshooting failures. <a href=\"https:\/\/azure.com\/pipelines\">Azure Pipelines<\/a> has always had support for test attachments and you can find details in the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/azure\/devops\/test\/collect-screenshots-and-video?view=azure-devops\">documentation<\/a> on how to collect attachments in continous testing.<\/p>\n<p>With this update, Azure Pipelines supports test attachments bigger than 100MB in size, which means you can now upload big files like crash dumps or videos with failed tests, aiding your troubleshooting experience.<\/p>\n<p>This functionality is available for all our customers today.<\/p>\n<h2>Change required if you are using self-hosted agents<\/h2>\n<p>If you are using self-hosted build or release agents behind a firewall that is filtering outbound requests, you will need to make some configuration changes to be able to use this functionality. You might see VSTest task or Publish test results task returning a 403 or 407 error in logs, an example is as below:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2019\/08\/Largeattachment_Builderror.png\" alt=\"Large attachment Build error\" width=\"1929\" height=\"659\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-57321\" srcset=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2019\/08\/Largeattachment_Builderror.png 1929w, https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2019\/08\/Largeattachment_Builderror-300x102.png 300w, https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2019\/08\/Largeattachment_Builderror-768x262.png 768w, https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2019\/08\/Largeattachment_Builderror-1024x350.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1929px) 100vw, 1929px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Also note, if your pipeline treats warning as errors, you might see pipeline failures too.<\/p>\n<p>In order to fix the issue above, we recommend updating firewall rules to allow <strong>outbound requests<\/strong> to <code>https:\/\/*.vstmrblob.vsassets.io<\/code>. You can find troubleshooting information in our <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/azure\/devops\/organizations\/security\/faq-network-connections?view=azure-devops\">docs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Note that the change above is only required if you&#8217;re using self-hosted Azure Pipelines agents and you&#8217;re behind a firewall that is filtering outbound traffic.
