Analytics<\/a> is the new reporting platform for both Team Foundation Server (TFS)<\/a> and Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS)<\/a>.<\/p>\n
We are starting a Limited Private Preview of Analytics for TFS 2018 Update 2 in preparation for a full release in TFS 2019.<\/p>\n

\nWe are looking for TFS 2018.2 customers who would be willing to join the preview.<\/strong>\n The Preview has** full support for TFS 2019 upgrades** and additional direct support for Analytics (including fixes for blocking issues) for those customers involved.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
We are specifically looking for customers who are willing to help us by running Analytics on their production TFS 2018 instances and providing us with key metrics on its performance.<\/p>\n
Please consider the following:<\/p>\n
\n
- \n We would strongly prefer customers that are willing to deploy in a production environment which is being actively used for work item tracking.\n <\/li>\n
- \n We will ask customers to periodically monitor SQL perf so we can better understand Analytics resource consumption\n <\/li>\n
- \n If a customer finds Analytics unacceptable for any reason, we will provide a path to turn Analytics off and remove any Analytics data.\n <\/li>\n
- \n If a customer finds any blocking issues we will provide a bug fix directly.\n <\/li>\n
- \n This private preview includes\u00a0Analytics-based widgets<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0OData access<\/a>.\n <\/li>\n
- \n It does not include Power BI + Analytics Views integration\u00a0using our Power BI Data Connector<\/a>\n <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The Preview is limited****.<\/strong> We may not be able to accept everyone wanting to be a part of the preview.<\/p>\n
