{"id":4523,"date":"2012-08-29T12:20:50","date_gmt":"2012-08-29T12:20:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.msdn.microsoft.com\/visualstudioalm\/2012\/08\/29\/clearing-the-credentials-for-connecting-to-a-team-foundation-server\/"},"modified":"2022-07-22T04:38:11","modified_gmt":"2022-07-22T12:38:11","slug":"clearing-the-credentials-for-connecting-to-a-team-foundation-server","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/clearing-the-credentials-for-connecting-to-a-team-foundation-server\/","title":{"rendered":"Clearing the credentials for connecting to a Team Foundation Server"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ran in to a situation a couple of days ago where i needed to log into a Team Foundation Server as a different user &#8211; and since Visual Studio\/Team Explorer &#8220;remembers&#8221; your last credentials you don&#8217;t have a chance to re-enter these credentials.\u00a0 This information is cached even after removing and re-adding the server in team explorer.\u00a0 Which begs the question &#8211; where is it cached?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px;border-right-width: 0px;border-bottom-width: 0px;padding-top: 0px;padding-left: 0px;margin: 0px;padding-right: 0px;border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2012\/08\/6835.image_thumb_79956793.png\" width=\"244\" height=\"229\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Turns out we are relying on Windows to do this for us.\u00a0 To dump this cache all you need to do is go to control panel > User Accounts > Manage Your Network Passwords select the Team foundation Server and choose remove &#8211; viola!
