Run your test case as you normally would.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2012\/10\/0003.1.png\" width=\"237\" height=\"270\" \/><\/p>\n<p>2&#46; Click on the Pause icon on the Test Runner menu or on the Pause option in the test result state drop down menu<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2012\/10\/4666.2.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>3&#46; Click Save and Close<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2012\/10\/4555.3.png\" width=\"218\" height=\"308\" \/><\/p>\n<p>4&#46; When you are ready to resume testing, you will see your test case waiting for you in the Paused state.\u00a0 Select the test case and click on the Resume button<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-width: 0px\" title=\"clip_image008\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image008\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2012\/10\/5001.clip_image008_thumb_0628E637.jpg\" width=\"244\" height=\"63\" \/><\/p>\n<p>5&#46; Another way you can resume your test is from the Analyze Test Runs menu<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-width: 0px\" title=\"clip_image010\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image010\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2012\/10\/5516.clip_image010_thumb_57CF6089.jpg\" width=\"244\" height=\"75\" \/><\/p>\n<p>6&#46; Like magic your test execution will re-appear in the test runner just the way you left it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2012\/10\/4578.4.png\" width=\"233\" height=\"325\" \/><\/p>\n<p>7&#46; I also found it handy that you can easily find and go back to your paused tests from the test runner dropdown.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-width: 0px\" title=\"clip_image012\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image012\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2012\/10\/2376.clip_image012_thumb_04E44D58.jpg\" width=\"244\" height=\"128\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Edit test case from the Test Runner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m sure this is a stretch of the imagination for most testers, but let\u2019s pretend there aren\u2019t enough details about the requirements for you to know what the expected result of a test step is.\u00a0 Editing a test case during execution becomes helpful in maintaining a test case.<\/p>\n<p>1&#46; Click on the edit hyperlink below the\u00a0title of the test case.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2012\/10\/3173.5.png\" width=\"227\" height=\"277\" \/><\/p>\n<p>2&#46; The test case work item is opened and in this case I am editing my test case by adding an expected result.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2012\/10\/7762.6.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>3&#46; Click the Save and close button at the bottom of the work item.<\/p>\n<p>4&#46; In order to view your test case edits in the test runner, you will need to select the Reset button.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2012\/10\/5706.7.png\" width=\"285\" height=\"128\" \/><\/p>\n<p>5&#46;
