You can view information about your current SSDT installation and verify that it&#8217;s up to date by selecting &#8220;Check for Updates\u2026&#8221; under the top-level SQL menu in Visual Studio.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"clip_image002\" style=\"border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px;border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image002\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2012\/11\/7573.clip_image002_24215930.jpg\" width=\"244\" height=\"132\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Check for Updates dialog<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This feature also notifies users when a newer version of SSDT is available for download.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"clip_image004\" style=\"border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px;border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image004\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2012\/11\/0647.clip_image004_4AEF6F70.gif\" width=\"244\" height=\"79\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>SSDT update notification<\/em><\/p>\n<h6>Updated Data-Tier Application Framework (DACFx)<\/h6>\n<p>SSDT \u2013 November 2012 includes the October DACFx redist (11.1.2816.0). The October DACFx release contains several feature enhancements and bug fixes outlined in this post: <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.msdn.com\/b\/ssdt\/archive\/2012\/10\/10\/sql-server-data-tier-application-framework-october-2012-available.aspx\">http:\/\/blogs.msdn.com\/b\/ssdt\/archive\/2012\/10\/10\/sql-server-data-tier-application-framework-october-2012-available.aspx<\/a><\/p>\n<h6><strong>Updated SQL Server 2012 components<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>SSDT \u2013 November 2012 is coordinated with the release of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=35575\">SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1<\/a> and it chains in the latest SQL Server components.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Bug fixes<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>This release contains over 30 bug fixes, including fixes for customer-reported issues from SSDT &#8211; September 2012.<\/p>\n<h4>Power Tools Compatibility<\/h4>\n<p>The November 2012 update of SSDT is only compatible with the latest SSDT Power Tools (v 1.4).
