In this post, I&#8217;ll walk you through some of the scenarios this mobile form enables, share the progress we&#8217;ve made, and give an update on what you can expect over the next few months.<\/p>\n<h3>Introduction<\/h3>\n<p>The mobile work item form optimizes the\u00a0look and feel of your work items on your mobile devices. It also supports\u00a0mobile-friendly controls to make your experience modern and intuitive.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2019\/05\/MobileFormAvatar.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/01\/MobileFormAvatar.png\" alt=\"mobileformavatar\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-27555\" style=\"border: 1px solid lightgrey\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>On the go functionality<\/h3>\n<p>When on the go, getting key information quickly is extremely important. Now, when you click\u00a0any work item link on\u00a0your mobile device, Visual Studio Team Services will open a mobile-friendly version of the work item. This new experience has been optimized for both consumption and editing, streamlining the process of getting a notification and acting on it.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Email<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0Whether you&#8217;re following an item that has been updated or @mentioned\u00a0in a discussion, clicking on <strong>View work item<\/strong> will automatically open the new mobile experience if you&#8217;re on a mobile device.\n<a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2019\/05\/Follows1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/01\/Follows1.png\" alt=\"follows\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-27515\" style=\"border: 1px solid lightgrey\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Microsoft Teams<\/strong> &#8211; You can also try our integration with <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.msdn.microsoft.com\/visualstudioalm\/2016\/11\/02\/microsoft-teams-integration-with-team-services\/\">Microsoft Teams<\/a>. <em>Hint<\/em>:<em>\u00a0Try setting alerts for work item changes.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Mobile-friendly controls<\/h3>\n<p>Controls on the form have been optimized for mobile. Editing any field will trigger full-screen experiences. For example, some of the most common actions such as changing the state of an item, moving to a different area path, adding an attachment, and creating\/removing tags are all supported. Making some of the code experiences mobile-friendly is also in our road map, so\u00a0stay tuned!
