    hi Gloridal

do we need to uninstall the hot memory fix for Azure DevOps Server 2019 Update 1 or can it be updated with Update 1.1. directly?

is there an estimated date when Azure DevOps Server 2019 Update 1.1 is RTM ?

Hi Daniel, you don’t need to uninstall the hotfix. After you install, check that the files have been updated to the new version. We plan to release Azure DevOps Server 2019 Update 1.1 RTM early next month.

Really looking forward to this update so if you can share a more precise timeline, then maybe I don’t have to hit F5 several times a day 🙂

          The wait is over!

    Hello Gloridel

Nice to see DevOps Server gets an update 🙂

There are a lot of new features planned for version 2020, which we are eagerly waiting for, especially YAML release pipelines would be a big help. (source: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/release-notes/features-timeline)

Is there any estimated timeframe for the release of Azure DevOps Server 2020?

    Kind regards,

    Jeroen.

Hi Jeroen. Our pattern is to have a yearly major release, but I don’t have a date that I can share for Azure DevOps Server 2020.

Gloridal, I may have made a major upgrade error and was wondering if you can tell me the solution. I upgraded our TFS 2017 SP3 to Azure DevOps Server 2019 Update 1.1RC. I just noticed on this website https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/migrate/migration-overview?view=azure-devops that is says:

    Note

The data migration tool doesn’t support imports from Azure DevOps Server release candidates (RC). If you’re planning on importing your collection database to Azure DevOps Services using this service, it’s important that you don’t upgrade your production database to an RC release. If you do upgrade, then you will need to wait and upgrade to the release to web (RTW) version when it’s available or restore a backup copy of your database from a previous Azure DevOps Server version to import.

When is the RTW coming out for this RC? I’m hosed man!!!
