The Quick Info tooltip has received a <\/span>couple <\/span>of <\/span>improvements<\/span> in Visual Studio 2019 version 16.1 Preview 3.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Quick Info Colorization<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

While Quick Info was previously all black text, the tooltip now respects the semantic colorization of your editor<\/span>:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019d like to customize your semantic colorization, you can do that by searching \u201cfont\u201d in the Visual Studio Search box (Ctrl + Q), or by navigating to <\/span>Tools > Options > Environment > Fonts and Colors<\/span><\/i>:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Quick Info Search Online<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

T<\/span>he<\/span> Quick Info tooltip has a new \u201cSearch Online\u201d link <\/span>that will search for online docs to learn more about the <\/span>hovered<\/span> code construct. For red-squiggled code, the link provided by Quick Info will search for the error online.<\/span> This way you don\u2019t need to retype the message into <\/span>your<\/span> browser.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You can customize your Search Provider under <\/span>Tools > Options > Text Editor > C++ > View<\/span><\/i>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
