On April 15, 2025, developers from around the world came together for Azure Cosmos DB Conf 2025<\/strong>\u2014a free virtual event co-hosted by Microsoft and the vibrant Azure Cosmos DB community. From early-morning keynotes to lightning talks and live demos, the event was packed with fresh insights, expert guidance, and real-world examples of how developers are solving complex challenges with Azure Cosmos DB. This year\u2019s sessions explored a broad spectrum of themes, including AI-powered workloads, real-time analytics, cost optimization, open-source tools, hybrid and vector search, and data security. Whether attendees were new to the platform or seasoned professionals scaling mission-critical systems, the event delivered valuable takeaways for building fast, globally distributed applications.<\/p>\n

Global Reach<\/h2>\n

This year\u2019s speaker lineup reflected the truly global nature of the Azure Cosmos DB community. We received over 100 session proposals from developers, architects, and data professionals around the world\u2014and selecting the final sessions was no easy task. Our final program featured speakers from cities including Chennai, Aswan, Nyeri, Zurich, Berlin, Copenhagen, Redmond, Miami, San Jose, and Kanpur. With such a diverse mix of backgrounds and perspectives, each session delivered valuable insights into building intelligent, AI-powered applications with Azure Cosmos DB at global scale.<\/p>\n
