To get it, all you need to do is click \u201cCheck for Updates\u201d on your Windows Server machine to update to the latest version and you\u2019ll get support for WSL 2 distros. To make sure you have the right update, please check that you have <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/topic\/june-14-2022-kb5014678-os-build-20348-768-3cec11a2-b5d6-40fa-b1f5-636283ccb7c4\">KB 5014678<\/a> installed.<\/p>\n<h2>Installing WSL<\/h2>\n<p>If you want to get started using WSL for the first time and you\u2019re using a Windows Server SKU, we\u2019ve updated <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/windows\/wsl\/install-on-server\">our docs to have the latest guidance which you can find here<\/a>! All you need to do is run <code>wsl --install<\/code> from a PowerShell window with administrator privileges.
