After two canceled flights and countless hours of waiting over the weekend, I have, sadly, decided to throw in the towel on the rest of this trip. I lost out on going to Croatia and it was not looking good to get to Prague. Today, they closed Bulgarian airspace. After already having two 36 hour runs of being awake this week due to travel problems and uncertainty about travel and ability to get home, I’ve decided I’m going to try to get home directly from Russia.\nI feel really bad about missing the events in Croatia, Czech Republic and Bulgaria but travel is just crazy. I just heard I guy over my shoulder exclaim “How do you get out of this country anyway!”. There’s a lot of frustration to go around. In fact, I’m sitting here in the airport waiting yet again. My flight back to the US has been delayed by almost 8 hours. For all I know, between now and then it will be canceled.\nI’m really not sure what to expect but I’m just going to hang out and make the best of it that I can.\nAgain, I’m really sorry to all of those of you I would have met over the next serveral days. I promise I’ll look for another opportunity to come back. Good luck and safe travels.<\/p>\n
