***PLEASE READ*** Ahh, my fortune for \u201cdelayed publish\u201d in Live Writer.\u00a0 I was trying to grab screenshots for this and accidentally hit publish a day too early.\u00a0 The release notes won\u2019t be published until tomorrow (June 3rd).\u00a0 I\u2019m sorry for the inconvenience but with the number of people who get email notifications of my blog post, there\u2019s no pulling it back, so I\u2019ll just leave it up there.<\/p>\n

Today, we begin the process of rolling out our sprint 83 results.\u00a0 You can read the release notes<\/a> to see the highlights of the new features.<\/p>\n

The kanban and task boards are making great progress towards having all the features you want.\u00a0 Coming soon will be custom coloring.<\/p>\n

I want to comment on one nuance that I don\u2019t even know how many people will notice \u2013 but I think it\u2019s important.\u00a0 As we\u2019ve added more and more features to the boards: customizable cards, search, sub columns, swim lanes, etc. the amount of \u201cchrome\u201d has gradually grown.\u00a0 When I first saw mock up with all of these features on a board and the new swim lanes feature from this release, it became clear to me that we\u2019d outgrown the visual design that we had and the board was starting to look cluttered with chrome.\u00a0 So one of the other things we did this sprint was to subtly de-clutter the boards.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t have a perfect before and after picture for you but I\u2019ll show you a picture from my account (that hasn\u2019t been upgraded yet \u2013 it will be in the next couple of days along with yours :)) and one that has been upgraded.<\/p>\n

The \u201cnew\u201d one below has swim lanes as well.\u00a0 You\u2019ll notice fewer lines and some shading changes.<\/p>\n
