This adds to our instances in the United States, Europe, Brazil, Australia, and India.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve had numerous conversations with customers who really wanted to have a VSTS account on Canadian soil and Canada was by far the most requested region for a new VSTS instance (and the 17th most popular request all up) on <a href=\"https:\/\/visualstudio.uservoice.com\/forums\/330519-visual-studio-team-services\/suggestions\/16030855-add-visual-studio-team-services-to-the-canadian-az\">Visual Studio Team Services User Voice<\/a>.\u00a0 The Canada region, like our other regions honors our data sovereignty policies of keeping all applicable customer data in the chosen region.<\/p>\n<p>When you create a new account from <a href=\"https:\/\/visualstudio.com\">https:\/\/visualstudio.com<\/a> we default the region to the one closest to you.\u00a0 Customers in Canada will now notice that Canada Central is the default selection.\u00a0 As always, you can override the selection by choosing another region from the list \u2013 Canada is open to everyone.\u00a0 If you have an existing Visual Studio Team Services account and would like to move it to the new Canada Central region, you can do that by contacting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visualstudio.com\/support\/support-overview-vs\">support<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We will continue to expand our footprint around the world.\u00a0 Next we are looking at another instance in Asia that will provide better access for China, Japan, South Korea and other close-by countries.\u00a0 Please use our <a href=\"https:\/\/visualstudio.uservoice.com\/forums\/330519-team-services\">UserVoice forum <\/a>as a way to suggest and vote for other regions that are important to you.<\/p>\n<p>Brian<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today we launched our latest Visual Studio Team Services instance in the Canada Central region.
