HDInsight developers now can easily access their Azure Government subscription through this extension with a few clicks.<\/p>\n<p>HDInsight Tools for VS Code supports Hive Interactive Query, Hive Batch as well as PySpark Interactive and Batch. It is a light-weight, cross platform and greatly improves developer experience on HDInsight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Download HDInsight Extension for VS Code<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order to install the HDInsight Extension, open up your VS Code and navigate to <strong>View -&gt; Extensions -&gt; Install HDInsight Tools: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9035\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/Y1.png\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"580\" height=\"290\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9036\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/Y2.jpg\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Switching to the Azure Government environment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now that you have installed the extension, you can use the tool with your Azure Government subscription:<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hit <strong>Ctrl-Shift-p<\/strong> and click on &#8220;HDInsight: Set Azure Environment&#8221; : <span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"580\" height=\"244\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9045\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/Y3.png\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You will see the menu below on your screen. Choose &#8220;Azure US Government&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"580\" height=\"129\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9055\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/Y4.png\" \/>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hit <strong>Ctrl-Shift-p<\/strong> again and click on &#8220;HDInsight: Login&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><span><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"580\" height=\"208\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9065\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/Y5.png\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A small popup bar will show up at the top of the screen.
