We were thrilled to see so many enthusiastic developers and IT Pros in Azure Government interested in learning new things and getting even more hands-on with Azure Government.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1430\" height=\"1073\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6725\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/12.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first day of the event was marked by several in-depth presentations by members of the Azure Government Engineering team.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1536\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6735\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/23.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Speakers included:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle\">\n<li>Steve Michelotti, Azure Government Chief Evangelist<\/li>\n<li>Zach Kramer, Azure Government Engineering Lead<\/li>\n<li>Sachin Dubey, Senior Software Engineer, Azure Government<\/li>\n<li>John Molesky, Program Manager, Azure Government<\/li>\n<li>Gerardo Saca, Senior Program Manager, Azure Government<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6745\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/34.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The second day of the event was dedicated to our hands-on HackFest. Participants were divided into eight teams and given a series of challenges they could choose from including:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle\">\n<li>Building solutions on Azure Government PaaS services<\/li>\n<li>Building a secure\/compliant IaaS network infrastructure on Azure Government<\/li>\n<li>Utilizing Cognitive Services on Azure Government<\/li>\n<li>Leveraging Big Data on Azure Government with HDInsight and Power BI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1536\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6755\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/4.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We were thrilled to see the types of solutions that our teams build. Even more importantly, we were exciting to see all the hands-on learning that took place.
