This means that both Azure Government regions now have access to D-Series VMs.\u00a0 US Gov \u2013 Virginia has the original D-Series VMs.<\/p>\n<p>Dv2-Series VMs (a follow-on to the original D-Series VMs) feature similar memory and hard disk configurations, but more powerful CPUs. Based on the latest generation 2.4 GHz Intel Xeon E5-2673 v3 (Haswell) processors, Dv2 VMs are designed to offer an optimal configuration for running workloads that require increased processing power and fast local disk I\/O.<\/p>\n<p>Currently D1 through D14 are enabled in both US Gov \u2013 Iowa (Dv2-Series) and US Gov \u2013 Virginia (D-Series).
