Using this Quickstart ARM template designed specifically for Azure Government Cloud, Splunk Enterprise can be run from a single installation!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step-by-step for Launching Splunk\u00ae Enterprise standalone to Azure Government Cloud<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to the solution templates in <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Azure\/azure-quickstart-templates\">Azure QuickStart Repo on GitHub<\/a>. They can be found by searching for \u201cSplunk on Ubuntu\u201d, or by\u00a0clicking <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Azure\/azure-quickstart-templates\/blob\/473f34175a53fb8e223047f588d3e337e9024d10\/splunk-on-ubuntu\/README.md\">here<\/a>. For step-by-step deployment instructions for solution templates from Github in to Azure Government Cloud, <a href=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/documentation\/articles\/azure-government-image-gallery\/#quick-start-templates\">see our technical documentation<\/a><u>, <\/u><em>please read before deploying the template<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Once you\u2019ve deployed the solution template in Azure Government, a browser page will open the template deployment blade in the Azure Government portal. In the Parameters blade, complete required fields, then\u00a0click &#8220;Okay&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Tips for successful deployment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Domain prefixname needs to follow DNS requirements:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/azuregov\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"716\" height=\"138\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3475\" alt=\"splunk 2\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/splunk-2.png\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recommended location\u00a0USGovVirginia, \u00a0Splunk recommends Premium Storage\/DS,\u00a0\u00a0available in Iowa (soon).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/azuregov\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"779\" height=\"812\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3485\" alt=\"splunk 3\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/splunk-3.png\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Deploying will take several minutes. Once the VM is running, it will show up in your dashboard. Click on your VM and bring up this view, then click on the \u201cStandalone VM\u201d<\/li>\n<li>A view, like the screenshot below, will open showing the details of your Splunk VM DNS. Copy the DNS name, and paste into your broswer as <a href=\"https:\/\/(yourdomainnameprefix).usgovvirginia.cloudapp.azure.com\/\">https:\/\/(yourDomainNamePrefix).usgovvirginia.cloudapp.azure.com<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/azuregov\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"846\" height=\"415\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3495\" alt=\"splunk 4\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/splunk-4.png\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>5.
