This example starts with a newly minted Server 2012 R2. Using a brand new server, here are the steps to configure PowerShell for Azure Resource Manager on the Azure Government Cloud.<\/p>\n

1–Download and install the Web Platform Installer from here<\/a>\u00a0and click the Free Download<\/strong> button.<\/div>\n

2–Select the latest Azure PowerShell release, by clicking the Add<\/strong> button.<\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

3–Install the module by clicking the Install<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/div>\n

4–Click the I Accept<\/strong> button to continue.<\/div>\n

5–Click the Finish<\/strong> button.<\/div>\n

6–Register the Azure Government Account<\/strong> with the Azure Government Environment<\/strong> by entering the following:<\/p>\n

7–Enter the credentials of a \u00a0valid Azure-G service user\u00a0and click the Continue<\/strong> button.<\/div>\n

NOTE<\/strong><\/span>: Ensure that all other browser windows are closed prior to performing this step so that previous session data is not present.<\/p>\n

8–Enter your password<\/strong> and click the Continue<\/strong> button.<\/div>\n

[Optional] If you have multiple subscriptions, use the following to select the one that you would like to use:<\/p>\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n
