F5 is <\/span>pleased <\/span>to announce the general availability of its BIG-IP <\/span>Virtual Edition<\/span> (VE)<\/span><\/a> application delivery controller (<\/span>ADC<\/span>) solutions<\/span> in the Microsoft Azure <\/span>US Government Cloud<\/span><\/a>. Customers\u202fwho want to deploy <\/span>mission-critical government <\/span>applications <\/span>in<\/span> Microsoft-managed <\/span>and physically-isolated <\/span>datacenters <\/span>within the continental United States <\/span>can now\u202ftake advantage of F5\u2019s market-leading application services to make their applications faster, more available, and more\u202fsecure.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With F5 now ava<\/span><\/span>ilable in Azure Government<\/span><\/span> Cloud<\/span><\/span>, you will be able to leverage existing IT investments, maintain consistency and control by reusing existing F5 configurations, custom traffic and security policies, and automated scripts<\/span><\/span>, saving you time and money.<\/span><\/span> You can also extend F5\u2019s robust <\/span><\/span>security solutions<\/span><\/span><\/a> to your <\/span><\/span>public <\/span><\/span>cloud environments to protect <\/span><\/span>your government <\/span><\/span>applications from web attacks and secure access to applications and their data. What\u2019s more, you can enable secure and dynamic site-to-site <\/span><\/span>connectivity<\/span><\/span><\/a> between Azure cloud resources and your private data centers \u2013 with F5 among the only <\/span><\/span>ADC<\/span><\/span><\/a> solutions on the market to provide this capability.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

F5 provides its BIG-IP VE <\/span><\/span>solutions <\/span><\/span>in a \u201cBring-Your-Own-License\u201d (BYOL) model, which allows you to purchase BIG-IP VE Version Plus licenses and then port t<\/span><\/span>hese licenses to Azure<\/span><\/span>, all while maintaining F5 support. The bandwidth options for BIG-IP VE in Azure are 25M, 200M, and 1G instances. F5 provides three product bundles \u2013 <\/span><\/span>Good, Better, and Best<\/span><\/span><\/a> \u2013 that provide flexibility, simplicity, and great value in selecting among F5. <\/span><\/span>In the future, F5 will also add subscription and utility license models to optimize your usage based on your business needs and enable you to pay for what you need with no upfront costs.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
