Key advantages are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor loss and latency across various VNets and set alerts<\/li>\n<li>Monitor all paths (including redundant paths) on the network<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot transient and point-in-time network issues that are difficult to replicate<\/li>\n<li>Help determine a specific segment on the network that is responsible for degraded performance<\/li>\n<li>Get throughput per virtual network<strong>*<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>See the ExpressRoute system state from a previous point in time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/ExpressRouteChart.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"439\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-11875\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2019\/03\/ExpressRouteChart-1024x439.png\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Getting Started<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To start using\u00a0ExpressRoute Monitor in NPM, you\u00a0will need to install (software) agents on each side of the ExpressRoute circuit (i.e., on-premises, Azure VNETs).
