Azure Blueprints and compliance on Azure Government

Steve Michelotti

In this episode of the Azure Government video series, Steve Michelotti, principal program manager, Microsoft Azure Government, talks with Alex Frankel, program manager on the Azure Governance team, about Azure Blueprints and compliance on Azure Government.

Historically, Azure Blueprints were compliance “checklists” that helped streamline the ATO process for different compliance regimes. Alex explains how the new Azure Blueprints is now a full-fledged service inside the Azure Government portal that automates the process of achieving compliance on Azure Government. Alex shows numerous demos in the Azure portal that show how the Azure Blueprints service combines Azure Policy and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to dramatically reduce the time it takes to achieve compliance on Azure Government by automating a large portion of the process. If you are someone responsible for compliance for your agency’s workloads, this video will show how Azure Blueprints will dramatically improve your efficiency and reduce the time to attaining ATO.
